Raphanus sativus
3 - 4 inch oblong scarlet root with white tip. A true crowd pleaser! Mildly pungent but more delicate flavour than other varieties. 20 -30 days to maturity. Fantastic radish for fresh eating, veggie platters and salads. Introduced prior to 1885.
Sow depth: For tiny seed cover very lightly, otherwise sow no deeper than 2-4 times the seed diameter. Direct seed to the garden: Early spring, late spring, summer.
