Herb Korean Mint - Salt Spring Seeds

Mentha pulegium

Attractive perennial in the mint family that grows to about 2 feet. Leaves emit a very strong refreshing fragrance when crushed. Usage dates back to Greek, Roman and Medieval cultures but best not used internally because of its potential toxicity. Externally, Pennyroyal oil or rubbed leaves are stellar at repelling mosquitoes and fleas.

Cool start in flats: Early spring/Late spring

Sow: For tiny seed cover very lightly, otherwise sow no deeper than 2-4 times the seed diameter. Direct seed to garden in early spring.
