The Story

Daucus carota

  • Vitamin A, B, C, and K
  • Improved, early maturing `Paris Market` type
  • Tasty, bite-sized carrots which are fast to mature
  • Good freezing variety

Smooth round, bite-size carrots which are fast to mature and have good flavour. Can be grown in containers or even in clay soils.

Easily sown direct in the garden.  Sow little and often for a continuous crop.

Approx. 1000 seeds

Outdoors: sow thinly, March-July, where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½") deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Allow 20cm (8") between rows. Early sowings may benefit cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly from the row, allowing remainder to grow on. Water well until plants are established. Harvest: June-October.
