Borago officinalis
Both the flowers and leaves of this annual are edible, with a mild cucumber flavour. The blooms are a bright blue and make a wonderful addition to salads and summer drinks. Also a favourite of the bees. Borage is easy to grow and self-seeds readily – so plant it once and enjoy it for years!
