This hardy native perennial shrub is easy to grow from seed and produces pretty sweet-scented pink blossoms by its second year. Bright red hips are tasty and full of Vitamin C and provide wildlife food well into the winter months in coastal BC. Petals nice in herbal tea or flavoured vinegar. Plants spread with tough suckering roots so plant where it is able to naturalize, or constrain in a buried planter pot.
