Gilia capitata

- upright 2 to 3-foot stalks, round clusters of small, blue flowers
- well-drained soil
- full sun
- blooms from April through July or August in the wild,
A gorgeous native wildflower that will bloom strong all season. Brilliant blue compound flowers will fill your garden with beneficial pollinators. Globe Gilia is drought tolerant once established, perfect for a low-maintenance native plant garden. Simply sprinkle seeds in full-sun to partial shade, on virtually any soil type, 2-3 weeks before the last frost.
Our favourite to use in place of the common invasive corn flower, or Bachelor's Button. Globe Gilia self-seeds but does not become hard to control.
