Wild Thyme - Eagleridge Seeds

A native of Europe to northern Africa, which thrives in rocky dry conditions. Very hardy, loves growing in rock walls. Dense small bushes to 6 inches tall full of oval leaves, with mauve purple flowers in summer. An important nectar source for honeybees and butterflies. The large size of the leaves makes an easier harvest for fresh or dried culinary uses, and is delicious added to tomato dishes, eggs, salad dressing and pasta. Also used medicinally as a tea to treat coughs. Tiny seed, plant indoors on soil surface, barely covered, a good germinator, easy to transplant.
