Rambling Rose

A repeat-flowering rambler bearing fragrant, fully double flowers

A rarity in the ramblers – a variety that repeat flowers reliably. Small, fully double soft yellow blooms, held in clusters. There is a delightful musky fragrance. Exceptionally healthy.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

We were pleased to introduce this rose, as nearly all rambling roses are once flowering, whereas this is repeat flowering. It sends long, slender stems to a considerable height, yet still finds the energy to flower again, blooming intermittently throughout the summer and into autumn. Small, fully double blooms of lovely soft yellow are held in medium to large clusters. Attractive polished foliage with small leaflets and few thorns. There is a light Noisette fragrance. It is exceptionally healthy.

GROWTH HABIT

An ideal rose for covering an arch or doorway or will reach about 12ft on walls, pillars, trellises and pergolas. It could also be encouraged to scramble over shrubs or into a small tree.

ORIGINS

Named after the beautiful range of hills not far south of our nursery which have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Malvern Hills were home to the composer Sir Edward Elgar; W.H. Auden wrote many of his best-loved poems whilst living there and J.R.R. Tolkien often walked its hills.
