The Story

Brassica oleracea

Early cabbage with small, tight, crunchy 3-4 lb. heads.  Old fashioned variety with delicate sweet flavor, perfect shredded raw for coleslaw or simply steamed or stir-fried.  Approx. 65 days to harvest.

Keep well weeded and feed monthly with high nitrogen fertilizer. For transplants, start about 6 weeks early. Transplant about 2 weeks before last frost. Provide even moisture as heads are forming. Watch for caterpillars; control with non-toxic B.T.
