Gardener's Notes: Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost or sow directly in spring when night temperatures are above 50F (10C). Grow in fertile, well-drained soil spacing seeds 2-3" apart. Press see into soil but do not cover. Thin seedlings when small. Keep soil evenly moist especially during dry periods. After flowers fade, shear plants back with scissors to half their height to encourage rebloom.
