Shrub (Explorer Series, 1987)

Fragrant, pale yellow double flowers begin with hybrid tea form, then open to expose the stamens. June flowering with some repeat bloom throughout the season. Vigorous upright shrub growing 3 to 5 feet tall and wide.

This rose is the only member of the Canadian Explorer series to not be named after an explorer. J.P. Connell (1926 – 2012) was a noted Canadian public servant, serving as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture in the 1980’s.
