Historically, used topically, and to this day, as a salve for many skin issues. It is anti inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti fungal. Tea is made to ease internal inflammation, support digestion, and aid the liver. Also used as a mouth wash . Grown as an annual in colder climates , it does overwinter in our coastal region.
