Citrullus lantanus
This dependable watermelon variety produces round, sweet tasting fruits about 20cm (8in) in diameter. The crisp, very juicy, sweet red flesh has very few seeds.

Growing Instructions:
Seed can be sown indoors from mid-April to mid-May using paper or fibre pots and a soil-less mixture, or direct outdoors in late May to early June. When planting outdoors, seeds need warm, sandy soil and 5-10 days at 24°C (75°F) to germinate properly. Sow seed 2.5cm deep (1in) deep in hills spaced 2.4m (8ft) apart, 6-8 seeds per hill. After germination, thin to 3-4 plants per hill.
